Birthday Cake handmade by Roxanne Alexander (completely edible) - email for details...
I have GREAT neighbors! On one side are the Dorans... and the other side the Alexanders... we have all become such great friends. We spend a lot of time together. This friendship has grown over the past two years. I used to get very depressed when I came back to Jersey City in September, but in the past two years I can honestly say that it has been easier... Charmian Doran is Duncan's mom - and my good friend... and Duncan turned one on October 2nd... so he had a party in the Alexander's yard on October 4th... and we were all there to help sing! I recently even got to babysit Duncan with Roxanne... and we got to put him to sleep.... (a two person job)! Boy did Duncan love his birthday party!
So of course... Duncan had a birthday hat... knitted by Jackie!!!
Now... I knit this in between the ongoing Rambling Rows baby blanket for an unborn recipient (gender unknown)...
Carol Anderson - Cottage Creations - Rambling Rows Afghan... border undecided - natural or green... or both?? Finished project to be shown at a future date... Have to get back to Terry's argyle sweater!
Anyway - had a great day with my Chalk Dust Knitters today! I love spending time with them!
Duncan is beautiful and I hope to have one of those someday.
My hat is blah next to yours. You know I'm going to blog about that! The blanket is coming out amazing and my vote is green trim.
We did have a great day didn't we! I heard about the bus comment at SnS! We'll talk Friday.

That cake is awesome!
I would go with green for the border to bring that color out more. Great job on the blanket though, I'm sure any combo would only enhance it.

Your blanket is beautiful on your blog and even more beautiful in person. Your boys are handsome and grandma doesn't look like grandma. I love the fall season, picking pumpkins, apples, etc. Looking forward to seeing you see.

This is so cute! He looks adorable. I've been looking for a hat just like this but in adult size! A nice winter woolly hat is a must for keeping my ears warm when the cold weather sets in.
